Wine has many faces. It’s sometimes difficult to compare wines of most diverse grapes, terroirs or climates. Is it fair to taste – say – northernmost European Merlots next to their bombastic counterparts from Australia? We think it isn't.
We are cool climate wine geeks that appreciate elegance, zestiness and fresh fruit aromas in our glasses. We think it's time to bring together all the best wines made of varieties able to reach perfection in unfavourable conditions of Northern Europe and America as well as southernmost parts of New World.
Are you with us? Why don't you send us your best samples?
Which wine is cool climate? Even the term seems still somehow obscure, we decided on some easy and clear differentiation. Want to check if your wine belongs to this group?
Piece of cake! Just follow 5 steps we describe below. Are you a New World producer? Even better! We will help you deliver wines without sending them to Europe.
Our jury represents 12 countries and consist
of expert international wine judges, some Masters of Wine among them.
The competition is organised by Czas Wina Wine Magazine under the auspices of several institutions.
The contest is aimed specifically at producers of cool climate wines. This exclusivity will allow the jury to concentrate on the unique qualities of the wines, which may have been overlooked at those wine competitions that do not specialize in this category.
